Welcome to this edition of Speaking on Art. Thank you to our contributors and thank you for joining us.

I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to put this carnival together each month. There are many talented artist’s out there, day by day going about their craft, producing wonderful things, their lives, as well, magnificent works of art. These creative’s put their reputations, their esteems, even their very souls, on the line with every endeavor. They may sometimes feel weak, sometimes scared, but they do the work regardless, and the world blossoms.

We know the famous ones, the ones in the history books, but there are amazing artists all over made of the same stuff as they; they are makers of originality, brave explorers that burn with the same desire and need to create, and their work is something to behold. Their writings attest to those that think deeply, see farther, and attempt to understand and discover. They search for truth. Most of all, they feel deeply.

I am honored each month to present these amazing artists to the world to see and appreciate as I do. This edition of SOA is no exception. Enjoy.

Art In Limbo NovArt In Limbo presents Ebb & Flow: Garth Evans at Johannes Vogt; “Form is a basic element of art. If something is constructed, manipulated, or even painted, a change in form or shape will occur. It is this fundamental concept that is the basis for the work of Garth Evans at Johannes Vogt Gallery. Through using form as a starting point, Evans works beyond this “simple” element to transform material while obscuring the lines of abstraction…”

The Blank SlateSonia Ben Achoura presents The Blank Slate; “The ‘blank slate’, or ‘tabula rasa’ in latin, is a term referring to the wax tablets used by the Romans for writing. Notes were erased by heating and smoothing the wax. Within the nature-nurture debate in the social sciences, the blank slate model proposes that individuals are born devoid of built-in mental content and that their knowledge comes from experience, hence favouring ‘nurture’ over ‘nature’…”

Roopa DudleyRoopa Dudley
Greetings! My name is Roopa and I am an American Artist. The Paintings I create are to appeal visually as well as intellectually and the purpose of them is to bring pleasure to the viewer as much as it brought to me when I was Study Of Roopa Dudley by Roopa Dudleycreating them. Each painting has taken a lot of time, courage, heart, effort and discipline.

I also enjoy writing about American Art, Books & Magazines on Art and other subjects related to Art that I find delightful and of significance. I interview Artists I like and put those in my blogs as well.

Study Of Roopa Dudley - CopyRoopa Dudley presents Study of Roopa Dudley; “I would like to start my blog with this lovely quote: “I cannot remember the books I’ve read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson . It is said that we are the product of what we eat, what we read and what we do in our leisure. I believe there is a whole lot of truth in it. So I decided to paint my self portrait with that in mind…”
